IART - International Association of Rebreather Trainers

IART, the International Association of Rebreather Trainers, was founded In 1997 in response to the emergence of rebreather technology that wasn’t accommodated for in the programs of established SCUBA training agencies.

IART set itself the aim to make rebreather diving as safe as possible. Working closely with the manufacturers, IART produced unit specific training with detailed manuals and courses where knowledge and skill development is based exactly on the requirements of the particular rebreather and on the Level of training.

Many years have now passed and IART enjoys an excellent safety record and respect from rebreather manufacturers and divers alike. We haven’t stopped there though. A full range of open circuit courses, from a very modern entry level scuba course to Advanced Trimix, are now offered world-wide by a growing number of highly-trained IART instructors.

IART has a system that guarantees identical service and charges to all our instructor members worldwide. IART instructors are free to teach anywhere where the law allows. As an IART instructor you are able to process your students online at any time, from anywhere, order student manuals and promotional materials online and, best of all, instructor training materials and presentations are permanently available to download free-of-charge on line.

The IART logo is now well-known and is synonymous with a mark of quality. If you feel that you have exceptional qualities as an instructor, then IART is the right partner for you and you are the right instructor for us!
